The Ultimate Guide to Boston Whaler Cushions
Are you the proud owner of a Boston Whaler boat? If so, you're undoubtedly aware of the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that comes with these vessels. However, no matter how well-built your Boston Whaler is, comfort is key for an enjoyable day out on the water. That's where Boston Whaler cushions come into play. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore everything you need to know about Boston Whaler cushions, from their types and materials to maintenance tips and where to find the best options.
Types of Boston Whaler Cushions
Boston Whaler cushions come in various types, each designed to cater to different seating and comfort needs on your boat. Here are some common types:
Bow Cushions: Bow cushions are ideal for creating a comfortable seating area at the front of your boat. They provide a plush surface for lounging and sunbathing while enjoying the scenic views.
Helm Seat Cushions: Helm seat cushions ensure that the captain remains comfortable throughout the voyage. They offer extra padding and support for long hours at the helm.
Aft Seat Cushions: Aft seat cushions enhance the comfort of the rear seating area of your Boston Whaler. Whether you're fishing or simply enjoying the ride, these cushions make a significant difference.
Backrest Cushions: Backrest cushions can be added to various seating areas on your boat to provide additional lumbar support. They are perfect for preventing backaches during extended trips.
Cooler Cushions: Some Boston Whaler models have built-in coolers, and adding cushioned tops to them not only increases seating capacity but also ensures a comfortable perch for your passengers.
Materials Used in Boston Whaler Cushions
The durability and longevity of your boat cushions depend on the materials used. Boston Whaler cushions are typically made from high-quality materials designed to withstand the harsh marine environment. Here are some common materials:
Marine-Grade Vinyl: Marine-grade vinyl is a popular choice for boat cushions due to its resistance to water, UV rays, and mildew. It's easy to clean and maintain, making it perfect for marine applications.
Closed-Cell Foam: Closed-cell foam is used as cushion padding because it doesn't absorb water. This feature ensures that your cushions remain comfortable and dry even in wet conditions.
Sunbrella Fabric: Sunbrella is a renowned brand for outdoor and marine fabrics. It's known for its UV resistance and fade-proof qualities, making it an excellent choice for boat cushions.
Polyester and Nylon Thread: The stitching and thread used in Boston Whaler cushions should be of high-quality polyester or nylon to withstand exposure to water and the elements.
Maintenance Tips for Boston Whaler Cushions
To ensure your Boston Whaler cushions stay in top condition and last for years, follow these maintenance tips:
Regular Cleaning: Rinse cushions with fresh water after each use to remove salt and debris. Use a mild soap solution for deeper cleaning, and avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the materials.
UV Protection: To prevent fading and deterioration from UV rays, consider using UV protectant sprays or covers when the boat is not in use.
Mildew Prevention: Keep cushions dry to prevent mildew growth. If mildew does appear, clean it promptly with a mixture of water and vinegar.
Storage: During the off-season, store cushions in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This helps prolong their lifespan.
Regular Inspections: Periodically inspect cushions for any signs of wear, loose stitching, or damage. Address any issues promptly to prevent further deterioration.
Where to Find the Best Boston Whaler Cushions
When it comes to finding the best Boston Whaler cushions, you have several options. You can start by checking with your boat dealer, as they often offer genuine Boston Whaler cushions designed specifically for your model.
Additionally, there are many reputable online retailers and marine supply stores that offer a wide range of cushion options designed for Boston Whaler boats. Be sure to read customer reviews and choose cushions that are compatible with your boat's model and seating configuration.
In conclusion, Boston Whaler cushions are a vital addition to your boat, enhancing comfort and enjoyment on the water. Whether you're relaxing on the bow, captaining the vessel, or fishing in the aft, the right cushions can make a significant difference. By choosing high-quality materials and following proper maintenance, you can ensure that your Boston Whaler cushions remain comfortable and stylish for many boating seasons to come.

Apples.
Nobody stands and peels apples just for themselves. Peeling apples is something which only gets done when preparing a special meal for someone else.
There’s something in the repetitive motions of choosing one, feeling it’s round weight in my hand, laying it onto the wooden board, and slicing downwards through its heart….
Little black seeds huddled together, are suddenly exposed to the light. The peel slips off as the knife wobbles its way along the curve - the naked slice plonks into the bowl.
My mind toddles backwards into memory of other days of peeling apples. Always a day with a feast at the end of it. Anticipation and preparation inside a kitchen.
Kitchens change. Homes and younger days spread out behind me like the wake behind a Boston Whaler. It doesn’t take many pulls to get that old engine going - and away I go backwards into holidays long passed.
Grandma Harper, always in aprons, stands firmly planted in 1962. She is peeling apples into a green Pyrex bowl. Aunts and uncles and cousins talk loudly in the next room. The kitchen is a dream of delicious roast-beef-and-mashed-potatoes steam that fogs the window behind the porcelain sink.
My 1968 mom is hacking up apples and complaining about the injustice of holiday meals (and holidays in general. Misery incarnate.)
The scent of apples. I’m in the kitchen of my first apartment in Providence, it’s 1977 and I’m determined to bake an apple pie. Betty Crocker in her red-and-white checked clothbound cover, is propped up on the drain board. The first of a lifetime of pies -ALL delicious.
Friends and boyfriends and a previous husband have all loved apple pies from my oven. A series of apartments and kitchens and relationships roll past - the scent of peeling apples and damp dish towels…
I’m in the kitchen of our apartment in the Meatpacking District. It’s 1996 and I’m peeling apples at the table while three toddlers play on the linoleum floor at my feet. Apple pie is happening, and the Macys Thanksgiving parade is on TV.
Christmas 2001, and my daughters want to help me peel apples. I show them how, and they do their best. Lumpy, but delicious - I hope they will remember standing at my side, and the scent of cinnamon.
Teenagers stay upstairs as I peel. They gather around the table, we eat the days work - gobble the pie - and they disappear again.
Young adults. 2015. The girls wander into the kitchen, and do a little peeling. It doesn’t last long, and off they go again. I fill the bowl with slices and reach for the rolling pin.
I find myself in Ireland. I stand in the kitchen peeling apples for the first Irish pie. One part apple, two part tears. I’m so heartbroken I can’t even breathe - there’s nobody to help me peel. My girls are grown and thousands of miles away. Maybe they will peel some apples of their own today? I wipe my face on my sleeve, and keep cutting.
Easter 2024. And I’m peeling apples.
Big, ugly green apples called “Bramley’s” - weird shapes and twisted cores, but perfect to cook with. Today these will become applesauce to cuddle up next to the very dry turkey, and keep it company on our plates.
I wonder how many more years I can coax my fingers to close neatly around the paring knife? Stiff and tired, numb and fumbly- they are giving me trouble that I don’t want to talk about. I lean over the pot on the stove, stirring as they relax into themselves. Cinnamon dumped into the brew - the scent is exquisite. It knocks me backwards into all the years and all the times and all the friends, lovers and random strangers …
Peeling apples is an act of love.

Thor Freya
Few more minutes and she's going to be up and out there's a lot of wiggling going on and moving around and checking and testing let's come out slowly and a certain way and it's got to be careful
We're on it and I'm doing it and I'm working and it needs to let us alone to get it done and we're going to go ahead and do it now
Hera
And I thank you for allowing me to be so much of a part of this project and I hope it was a help and I know I got some things going and had some ideas and I believe I did very well and I hope that I didn't push people too much but I really should and they'll thank me later
Zues
I heard you're doing it and I thought oh no but now I'm very thankful and they are too and they say what else do we have to do instead we have to complete this project as a priority then you'll see why and Thor Freya zigzag Hera he says has the lowdown and a lot of Olympus it's extremely important there are very big reasons they'll be a shift and a silent one it'll affect the paradigm and everybody will be grateful but there are reasons to concentrate on this project and big ones the next thing we need to worry about is Manning all these jobs are creating and Manning all these projects that we have for construction to increase the RV size and recruitment and after that is Uriel and goddess wife and Neptune and we will start meetings immediately upon completing this project which is only days away and now they're accepting the answer and it is a perfect one it's from us and we are prioritizing we need manpower and we need it now and we need power and we're going to have it and there's really really good reasons for it and he says the other huge project along with Neptune are the parallel to Tommy f and that's happening already and we need to pay attention to it so it doesn't bite Us in the butt and I'm missing that now so have a good night and you too he says and good luck Galactica and I appreciate it Galactus and good timing

A (Fictional) Personal Narrative, or My Dreams of the Sea and My Real Future
November, 1774.
South of Portsmouth, England.
I used to sit and watch The Solent in the evenings, waves ever churning, the Isle of Wight looming forever ahead but never clearly seen, ships coming and going. They were scores of merchantmen, some men-of-war of His Majesty’s Royal Navy. Barges and jollyboats plied along the rivers, from ships toward ports. In deeper waters, the merchantmen: barquentines, barques, hermaphrodite brigs, brigantines, and brigs; occasional fishing schooners, and full rigs with crow’s nests—the whalers. In their omniscient way, stood the corvettes, frigates, ships-of-the-line, all on guard. All on alert. They sought Yankee smugglers, mostly. Some of their prizes lay to in Portsmouth Harbour.
Most pitied the colonists after scenes such as the Boston Massacre woodcut by Paul Revere while others held their noses high away from the stench of tea in the Atlantic.
To quote Revere, “Unhappy Boston! see thy Sons deplore, Thy hallow'd Walks besmear'd with guiltless Gore—”
To which others replied, “Tea which became less expensive succeeding the tax!”
It remained a tense subject.
Despite these observations, I had already missed my chance. Ship’s boys began at twelve years of age. Midshipmen began at thirteen. I was sixteen; better suited to study at a university for to be a natural philosopher, physician, or something of that nature. Even so, I knew it was too late for my dreams.
From the shore, I stood. Thoughts of the Isle of Wight and ever-reaching sailing vessels imprinted upon my imagination. White sails luffing up with the wind, clouds almost in reach at the crosstrees, a briny topsail breeze granting me new life.
Home. Warmth, the smell of wood burning from the kitchen, the gentle sound of cluck cluck cluck and snort and whinny from the farm.
“By your leave, sir.” I saluted my hat to Lord Marlborough, the gallant chestnut steed who replied with a bray, and continued toward the house.
I greeted my mother upon seeing her tending a most hearty stew over the fire. Its sweet rich smell comforted me like a warm embrace, most unlike the brisk salty breeze of the sea.
“You should speak to your father, Sam, become his apprentice,” my mother said. “Repair to the shop, it would do well to his mind—and my own.”
“What?” The command took me aback. My future already decided for me?
“Entertain him, please.”
I stuttered before retorting, “What am I to do to entertain him? Grin at him through a horse collar? Make sport of myself while he laughs at my turn?”
“I hope it does not put you out.” My mother retained her stubborn countenance.
“Forsooth,” I muttered. I turned nimbly upon my heels and out the door, nearly forgetting my hat. My father was a tailor, so our clothes always fit trim and sturdy but never kept with the latest fashion. He was of an old stock that way. He ran a small shop in Portsmouth, quite given to his way of things, and I never took to the same mind.
The meteor flag of England flew at the corner of the street at Portsmouth, gently flapping in the breeze. Again, the briny air fueled my imagination of what could be, while sight of my father’s shop reminded me of all that was reality. If my father fairly wanted me to take after him, my dreams would simply and entirely go by the board. He had great sensibility, true, but I could never conceive myself a tailor to any such distinction near his.
Upon entering, I saw my father busy at work stitching a winter overcoat together. No frivolities, no brightly coloured lace, no embroidery, merely buttonholes and buttons. I placed my own coat upon a hook and met him at the table.
The shop was simple yet cluttered, a complex yet organised mess. Scissors always to be found in their place, pins always to be found in their places. The only window was one near the front door, covered by the figure of a person wearing my father’s tailored wares. Candles each had their places, far away from fabric and thread.
“Samuel,” he said, “shine some light here—I cannot see this needle.”
I brought a candle well over, knowing this was my only task. My only occupation ever within that shop. Holding candles so my father could work better. He explained things to me, such as that a saddle stitch should be used for certain types of leather work, or that one must be sure to only use as much fabric as necessary—never with such extravagances as coats three fathoms tall or sleeves wide enough to fit four arms.
That was what haunted me, not the looming Isle of Wight or every churning tides of the sea, but the fear that I might never do something for myself in my lifetime. That I might never learn my own trade. Never see the world for myself. Never stand on the deck of a barquentine and feel the briny water upon my cheek and hear the wind through the rigging and white sails. My purpose, just brimming with possibility yet a gleaming future never to be reached. The crosstrees too high, the shrouds too short, the ratlines too thin, my future too far away.
I felt the thin rope, the ratline, snap beneath me, my hands reaching out for the shrouds.
My father never had these dreams. My father never went to school. My father never saw past the English Channel. Past The Solent, even.
A candle shining in darkness. That’s what I was—I held a candle in a world with no bright future. Alone? Crowded to the point of suffocation? Falling forever into the dark sea because I failed to clap onto the shrouds? I could not tell until I burst out:
“Upon the whole, I cannot see my purpose as to being here, father.”
“Why—you’re learning,” he said. “Hold the light toward my left.”
“I am not. You must hear me, no, listen to me. I want to explore and build my own skills, not merely take your infinite knowledge upon myself!”
My father said nothing.
I said nothing.
I placed the candle on the table, too close to his fabric, I knew. And I carried myself out of his shop. Carried onto the street and toward the centre of Portsmouth.
An inn, an ill-looking building in a morally questionable part of the city, I passed. Outside stood a man in a gleaming madder red coat with royal blue facings. A red sash at his waist. A non-commissioned officer of the Army. He tipped his cocked hat to me and said:
“Your servant, young man. A word—if you will. I am Sergeant Meadowlark of the Fourth Regiment of Foot—the King’s Own. I’m looking for bright men like you to serve your country and stand against the Yankee rebels. Volunteer for a shilling today, and if you cannot bear it during the first sennight, return the shilling and leave at your will,” the recruiting sergeant offered. A sincere grin? A grin concealing true intentions?
A boy at his side, wearing the same colours reversed, drummed a familiar marching tune: the British Grenadiers. An inspiring song to keep all men in step. An emphasis on the pomp and circumstance of the Army.
I could advance myself, find education at a regimental school, climb through the ranks, gain a pension or a land grant to satisfy whatever else I may do in the future. Perhaps the service was exactly my window toward my own bright future. My climb to the crosstrees.
And there I did it: I took the shilling and kissed the book, that is, signed my mark upon the page. Samuel Wellesley. The door to my future was just an old creaking inn door, but it was mine all the same. I shook the sergeant’s hand and trod home, as sure of my step as with the tune of the British Grenadiers. Begin with the left and one step per beat of the drum. Sure that I would soon march with a madder red coat, cartridge pouch at my right marked 4 with the King’s crown, and a musket at my shoulder, I hummed the last verse of the marching tune:
Then let us fill a bumper, and drink a health of those
Who carry caps and pouches, and wear the loupèd clothes.
May they and their commanders live happy all their years.
With a tow, row, row, row, row, row, for the British Grenadiers.
There, on my journey home, I met four and twenty men on the King's highway. All wore wide canvas trousers and short brimmed hats with HMS DOVE embroidered on the ribbon. Sailors, men-of-war’s men of His Majesty’s Royal Navy. Some held clubs, rope at their sides, boarding pikes. One wore a light blue coat, another darker blue with gold buttons on the facings, blades at their hips, cocked hats. Officers.
I hastened my pace. If I walked fast enough, determined enough, sure enough, they would pass me by. I had already made my decision—the shilling and the book and all. The men-of-war's men would press some other poor cove. Some ill-looking rum-riddled man whom no one would miss. Would they miss me?
One called out. The officer piped up. My feet ahead of me; I broke out into a run.
Three broke off and began after a man behind me. I was safe—they weren't after me.
I thought.
A force at my back tore my coat from my shoulders. Wood against my stomach. My face met dirt. My body dragged. The shilling once in my palm, gone. More blows. Held by my cravat. I gagged. The stench of pitch and tar strong. Hands grasped my back and a club at my neck, locked in place on the King's highway.
"Name?" A commanding voice. Paper rustling. The officer? A damned way to enlist hands—to impress men. Shouts and grunting of the other men, sailors. Clang of swords and dirks at belts, wooden clubs against flesh.
"Samuel! Sam Wellesley!"
And there, I submitted to the press gang and thereafter an enlisted sailor. I was a landsman aboard His Majesty’s Frigate Dove, where white sails would billow above the deck and I would heave the lines far below. Our first voyage was Admiral Graves’ North American station for to seek out Yankee smugglers. Far across the Atlantic from The Solent, over three-thousand nautical miles, I would forever leave the Isle of Wight behind.

it Came from Lake Erie
Only a small portion of Lake Erie borders Pennsylvania, but it’s one mighty big lake with some mighty big tales attached to it. Without a doubt, the most famous concern South Bay Bessie, a serpentlike fish that’s seen most often from the Ohio shores. Most people who live or spend a lot of time at the lake have seen something that they can’t quite identify, and the details of the sightings seem to be fairly consistent.
South Bay Bessie is cigar-shaped, measuring about twenty to thirty feet in length and two feet in diameter. The creature is dark in color-maybe black, blue, brown, or green-and it’s seen in calm waters, sometimes showing humps above the water. It has been reported dozens of times since the first recorded encounter in 1960.
That said, most sightings of this sea serpent can easily be explained away by a quick study of the lake sturgeon, a fish that was very common in the region until dam-building projects in the 1850s interfered with its spawning grounds and supposedly destroyed the population (or maybe just dramatically reduced it). The lake sturgeon has bony plates on its back and belly and four barbels dangling from its lower jaw, and it grows up to four feet in length and reaches a weight of up to two hundred pounds. It’s a much larger fish than most people are used to seeing, and it has a bizarre prehistoric look to it.
Whether Bessie is a strange lake monster or something already known, it’s Lake Erie’s most famous bizarre beast. But it’s not the only freak show in those chilly waters.
Face to Face with the Monster of Lake Erie
I have a boat on Lake Erie, and I can tell you that there is a monster in that lake called Bessie. Many people have seen it over the years, and I am one of those people.
I am a fishing fanatic. I’ve got a 18-foot Boston Whaler that some friends and I use constantly in the summers. Two summers ago I was out on the lake more than usual.
In early July, I was having one of those nights where I was just cruising the lake. I anchored the boat a few hundred yards offshore and was just lying on my back.
This particular night, I was awaken from my slumber by something rubbing against against the bottom of the boat. I immediately heard a noise that I find hard to describe. It was the rushing of water followed by the slap of something against the surface of the lake. I sprung up and grabbed the lantern, which I always left burning in the bow of the boat so that no other vessels would plow into me at night. Then I lunged to the gunwale and held the light over the water to have a look. What I saw I will never forget.
Before I go any further, let me say that I was not drunk when I saw what I saw.
I am sure what I am about to describe is in no way the product of any alcohol-induced hallucination.
There was a long, thick creature a few feet beneath the hull of my boat. All exaggeration aside, this thing was at LEAST twenty feet long. It darted with incredible speed away from my skiff as I struggled to make out its form beneath the inky black surface of the water. When it was about 30 feet away from my vessel, the beast reared its body up out of the lake. Although it was still dark out, it was a clear night with a full moon shining down on the still surface of the lake. Because of this fact, I was able to clearly make out the long serpentine body of the animal and its large, round head. That was all I saw before it submerged again and disappeared forever.
There is no doubt in my mind that the thing intentionally slammed into my boat. The first instinct I had when I saw it was that I had invaded its territory and it was letting me know. Perhaps like a common eel, it had been attracted to the glow of my lantern. I cannot say for sure, but that was the last night I ever spent alone on Lake Erie. I’ve only gone fishing at night a few times in the past two years and never by myself.
Thankfully, since then my life has returned, more or less, to normal. I’ve remarried, see my kid often, and have a new job, much better than the one I was so worried about back then. When I think back to that summer, the only really terrifying aspect of it I haven’t managed to reckon with is the mystery of what I saw that night. -Franklin P. Wainwright

1994 sea ray sea rayder 15 ft jet boat and trailer up for sale is a very nice sea ray jet boat and trailer. Auciton includes boat, trailer and clear michigan title for boat and pennsylvania title for trailer. I am selling this for a local customer, but can answer any questions about the auction. The boat is in excellent condition.
This boat is a load of fun, very easy to maneuver. One of the nice features is the throttle has the traditional forward/reverse mechanism. Many jet boats have 1 lever for forward/reverse/neutral, and another lever (or two) for the engine. The single lever on this model makes it very intuitive to drive.
The F-16 seats 5 passengers, 3 in the back seats and 2 in the front bow area.
This is probably the most enjoyable boat I owned. It is super easy to drive, it is responsive, light, and quick.

what do you think about the reverse retros?
thank you for the ask anon! but oh my, did you just open a can of worms because i have Opinions on the reverse retros. but in the interest of keeping this short, i’ll do a top three and a bottom three, maybe with some honorable mentions.
let’s start with the top three.
at number 3, we have the caroline hurricanes hartford whalers. what more do i really have to say? the whalers brand is iconic. their logo is one of the best nhl logos ever (the first time you see that H is mind-blowing), so it’s nice to see it on a jersey again. plus they added the pucky the whale shoulder patches, which i love. the blue-green-white color scheme is fantastic, though to be fair, the connecticut whale execute it better than this jersey, which added an unnecessary gray that i am not a fan of. the gray base is really the only misstep on this jersey, and if it was white i think i would like it a lot more. with that said, i still love this jersey, and especially when compared to some of the other reverse retros, it’s great.
at number 2, we have the colorado avalanche. if you know me (or just read my bio), you know i’m a big avs fan, so when these jerseys were announced i was so excited. i really want to get an avs jersey at some point, and the reverse retros might have surpassed the navy third jerseys as the avs jersey i want to get. but i digress.
this jersey itself is so clean and nicely executed. they borrowed the pattern off of the old quebec nordiques away jerseys, but the avs traded the light blue and red color scheme of their precursors for their current burgundy and blue. i’ve always loved the way that the avs’ colors look together on jerseys, especially because burgundy is a kind of unusual color for hockey (the only one with anything similar is the coyotes’ maroon) and i appreciate that it’s paired with the bright blue instead of, say, black or gray. on this jersey especially, the burgundy is the focus, with the blue acting as a nice accent to mirror the old nordiques jersey. it’s pretty widely agreed upon that the nordiques jerseys were great, so i don’t have much to say about the design of the jersey itself. but as a whole, these jerseys are a slam dunk. i’m looking forward to seeing them on the ice and i’m curious if they’ll look just as good in motion.
and at number 1, my favorite reverse retro comes from the la kings. now, i do not give a flying fuck about the kings normally, especially when it comes to jerseys because they have a torrid history of bad design choices. but they got their act together for this one and put out an awesome reverse retro jersey.
starting with the colors, i love the purple (or if you want to be pretentious about it, “forum blue”) and yellow color scheme. the kings are the only nhl team to have used this color scheme, and they should really go back to it full time, in my opinion, because it looks so different for a hockey design. the shades of purple and yellow used on this jersey are really vibrant and eye-catching. plus, purple and yellow are complementary colors, so when they’re used to accent each other, it looks quite pleasing to the eye. in comparison, the kings’ usual black, white, and gray colors are pretty dull to look at, especially because their opponents are wearing white jerseys and hockey is played on a sheet of white ice (geez, i sound like the guy from hockey by design).
as for the layout of the jersey, the striping is very classically hockey, with a pattern we’ve seen variations of a million times before. that doesn’t mean it’s bad though; the simplicity of the thick yellow stripe with the white accent stripes helps make it as effective as it is. i’m not really a fan of the numbers inside the yellow stripes on the arms, though, and i think it would’ve looked a little cleaner if the numbers were placed just above the arm stripes on the upper arm of the jersey. i love the logo though. i’m not a huge fan of typography logos, but there is something iconic about the gretzky-era motion-lines kings logo, and its usage on this jersey really brings together the whole “reverse retro” idea. it blends the design of one era with the colors of another, and it looks awesome. like the avs jersey, i’m really excited to see these on the ice, because i know they’ll look sick.
moving onto the bottom three, which will be under the cut, because this is getting very long already.
at third-worst, we’ve got the arizona coyotes. i know this one might be a little controversial- when the reverse retros were released, some friends and i argued about whether this one was good or bad. well, from a design standpoint, i think it’s pretty bad.
wait! i can hear you saying. lara, you liked the minnesota whitecaps jerseys with a similar style, why don’t you like this one? let me explain, hypothetical critic.
this yotes jersey just has too much going on. there’s six colors present: orange, purple, black, white, green, and brown. the green and brown are just accents on the logo and the waist design, but that’s still too many colors. they’re not bad colors, but they don’t quite come together the right way. it looks messy. in comparison, the whitecaps jersey had three colors total, including accents: blue, white, and black. that meant the whitecaps jersey looks a lot more cohesive as a design, whether stationary or on the ice.
the logos on this jersey aren’t bad. i love the yotes’ kachina jersey, especially its main logo, but i don’t think the kachina head by itself is nearly as strong. however, putting the full kachina logo on this jersey would really be too much. i kind of like the salamander shoulder patches, but they really have no good connection to the yotes’ identity as a team. i think the crescent moon design would have been a better choice for the shoulder patches.
and then we come to the waist design. it’s simply too busy. in that little desert landscape on the bottom alone, there are four colors. that would be a lot for a whole jersey, and it’s too much for this design, which becomes jarring. the waist design on the whitecaps jersey was in a monochrome blue, which was easy on the eyes and effective on the ice. i can only imagine what a mess the bottom of these yotes jerseys will look like in motion.
in general, this jersey just has too much going on for it to be executed effectively. if arizona ever tries to take a stab at this kind of thing again, i’d recommend taking some notes from the whitecaps.
at second-worst is the st louis blues. the thing about this jersey is, i actually like the original jersey that these are based on. i think those jerseys are pretty cool looking, although they are finely threading the line between “cool-looking” and “bad.”
and then you get this jersey, which is just bad. for starters, why is a team called the blues wearing a red jersey? (i have this same gripe with the blue jackets’ red reverse retros, by the way) i think the inclusion of red into the blues visual identity is a little weird, especially when they’ve had jerseys that balance the blue and yellow so well. and then you take the red, which was a weird-though-not-terrible accent color on the originals, and make it the base of the jersey? i don’t know about you, but for me, that’s a big ol’ wtf??
and the mess only gets worse. the blues have a good logo, but the big blue note looks so incongruous on a red base. additionally, the accent stripes and colors are much less effective with the red and blue reversed. on the original blue jersey, the gold stripes stood out on the blue base while keeping the classic element of the blues’ visual identity. the gold led into the red accent color on the cuffs and hem, which as previously mentioned was a little out of place, but at least it was two warm colors blending into each other. on these jerseys, with the blue-gold-red order reversed, it becomes so much less effective.
i wish the blues had done something better than amp up a color that does not belong in their visual identity.
and last, the worst reverse retro jersey, we have the anaheim ducks. good god, this jersey is atrocious. i know some people like it for the chaos factor, but i can’t even appreciate that. it’s just bad.
i’ll start off with the only thing at all redeeming about this jersey, which is the color scheme. the original mighty ducks teal and purple was such a unique color scheme for hockey, and for sports in general. the kings are the only other nhl team to have used purple, and the sharks are known for their teal, but the combination of those two was something weird but oddly effective. just to be something different, i’d love to see the ducks bring it back. maybe not permanently (i’d rather see a redesigned version of their home and away set), but perhaps on a third jersey better than this one.
now let’s tackle the design. the fucking wild wing jumping out of the ice just infuriates me. it would make a fine ad page in a magazine, but on a hockey jersey, it just looks out of place and bad. it’s too detailed to be a good hockey logo, since it’s constantly in motion on the ice, not to mention it just looks kind of stupid. plus, why the hell is the ice green. if you’re going to have a stupid design, at least make it make sense. the curved striping and shoulder yoke aren’t bad, and on a better jersey i might actually appreciate those choices, but the fucking wild wing design just completely ruins anything remotely good that may have been going on with this jersey.
in summary, this jersey is absolutely terrible and i hate it.
to finish this off, let me share a few last-minute thoughts on some of the others.
honorable mentions
pittsburgh penguins: this jersey just agrees with me. i’m generally not a fan of the diagonal writing jerseys (too rangers-like for this devils fan), but i think the pens executed it well
vancouver canucks: usually, gradients do not equal anything good, but the boston pride’s away jerseys and these vancouver jerseys have started to make me change my tune. the original jerseys, with a blue to red gradient, did not look good, but i actually quite like the blue to green gradient.
new jersey devils: i’m only a little biased. i’m a noted critic of the devils’ christmas tree heritage jerseys, so the green reverse retro scared me at first. but i gave them a good look and saw the design explanation about green for the garden state and the pine barrens, and they started to grow on me.
dishonorable mentions
detroit red wings: it’s a practice jersey with gray stripes. they totally dropped the ball here, especially since detroit has such an extensive jersey history to take inspiration from.
new york islanders: dammit lou! instead of revitalizing the terrible-yet-iconic fisherman, the islanders decided to completely ignore the spirit of the reverse retros and basically do their regular jerseys but in navy blue. for shame.
send me a jersey and i’ll give you my opinions!

I started writing a post to rant about a few of these new jerseys, and it got longer and longer, and I realized that I had a lot to say, so I decided to just write about all of them.... and it turned into a 2k word rant, so um... under the cut... enjoy?
Anaheim: It needed more purple but they went for it with the weirdest jerseys in their history and I applaud them for taking the risk and I appreciate the turquoise. I would like to see Paul and Teemu come back and model them.
Arizona: Kachina is cooler, but it works. Purple is... a choice. Not sure why they made that choice, but it's a pretty purple and the desert at the bottom is neat. If I didn't dislike the team so much, I think I'd like it.
Boston: It's what I expected. The gold is pretty, I like the color. But I also like that we added an outline to the spokes (I remember it happening), so the old un-outlined version isn't as nice. But it's a real "retro" so that fine. I was hoping for Winnie the Pooh because it was so awful but they know that too, so yeah it does make sense that they didn't.
Buffalo: I wish I cared about this team because the crossed sabres is a sharp look. Not really 'retro' from off the top of my head, the buffalo with the crossed sabers is more classic, but it's a sharp looking jersey.
Calgary: Wasn't that already their third? I mean I like it. Stampede and all, it's cool looking, there are flames, it's Calgary'ish, good colors. I'm for it, but I don't enough about the team to actually wear it.
Carolina: *sigh* Okay, first of all, the jersey is sharp, it's the right colors (thank you), it's beautiful and the Whalers logo is one of the best ever. I love the Whalers jersey, I would wear a Whalers jersey. But they are not the Whalers. And I mean yes, retro, and beautiful, I just wish people cared about the Whalers enough that they didn't move! But I don't feel like that about the Nordiques or the North Stars, so um, I am a very biased New Englander and I accept that. It's a lovely jersey.
Chicago: I don't know if I should laugh or cry that the NHL Instagram didn't post a picture of the Hawks third, but instead showed the back. But they didn't and so really we need to discuss that it's time for that logo to GO!
Colorado: I LOVE that they did the Nordiques logo. I can see Peter Stastny having a whole moment over that thing, if Peter Stastny had moments. But I wish they had gone all the way and done the light blue and red and not tried to do Avalanche colors, that's not the Nordiques jersey, it's weird. I would not buy that.
Columbus: I like it. I like feel of that logo, I don't know why it feels properly Civil War, and that's where the name comes from, and I love when they use hockey sticks in logos. This is another one that I would wear if I cared about the team.
Dallas: I know what they were going for, but they failed very very badly. It looks awful. They needed to make the whole part below the star green like it was. But what would have been SO MUCH BETTER is if they had done the North Stars jersey. Because that's REALLY retro. And that's who they were. It would have looked better and I would have wanted one. Dallas has a lot of jersey fails lately.
Detroit: Uh, it's their jersey. I mean that's what you get when you've never changed your logo since you were a team, but still... it's their jersey. They didn't even do a border or anything, it's really boring and kind sad for their fans that they didn't get anything fun. It's a nice logo, sure, but uh try?
Edmonton: It looks really good. I like it. I was hoping for the Todd McFarlane oil drop one, that was really sexy, but I didn't get it. So this is fine. The orange looks good, it's a classic, looks nice. I don't have a complaint, but I'm not in awe either. It's just nice.
Florida: I was kind of confused for a moment because didn't they ever have anything else? But then I looked it up and realized that they haven't been using that one for a few years and I just never noticed. So uh, nice job Florida. Also note to self, I should watch the Panthers once in a while.
Los Angeles: Purple and yellow seems about right for retro, also they're really ugly and I don't like them at all. But I feel like that's about right too. They should have gone all the way with the crown or the king-head and admitted that was their jersey once upon a time. The newer logo and the old colors makes it worse.
Minnesota: I hate this. I hate it so much. All they did was take the North Stars' colors and put it on their own logo and that's absurd! And I hate it. If they had done the actual North Stars, I would have been fine with it because maybe there are people there that wish they had never left and it would have been lovely and nostalgic (even if the Wild was never the North Stars), but they didn't. And it's AWFUL. It makes Colorado look better. And Carolina look like gold.
Montreal: Uh... pretty blue color? They haven't changed their logo, uh pretty much ever, so they didn't have much to work with. It's boring. And the Habs should be red. But that's their actual jersey so they did try. They failed, but they tried. They did one better than Detroit, but only one.
Nashville: No. Listen they had a GREAT opportunity to bring back the skull which was really badass and they didn't do it. They could have done the giant teeth one. They didn't. They don't have a lot to work with but that's their regular jersey, it's the same pretty much as the one the use all the time. They could have done something cool, but they didn't and ugh that's lousy.
New Jersey: I love the Italian jerseys (it's not Christmas, read the room), but that one has WAY too much green. It was a green stripe. It looked good. That one looks like they ran out of Devils jerseys and slapped the Devils logo over the Wild one. (Which is only funny to me.) Less green, but still SOME green would have looked great. Also one logo, so they had to do something drastic but nope.
New York Islander: Did they forget that they needed to submit a retro jersey and just sent their regular one? They could have gone back to the fisherman. They could have had the guts that Anaheim has. But they didn't. They didn't at all and they failed this so bad. They had choices, they didn't pick any of them! Why?! I might have wanted one with the fisherman.
New York Rangers: They didn't have any other option. It's a slick design and it's going to sell. It was the right choice. Their jersey has always been kind of boring and this is the only design in their whole history that I've liked. So I'm completely behind this choice. I mean I hate the team, but good jersey choice absolutely.
Ottawa: I'm confused. Aren't they switching to this as their regular full time jersey next season? So how is this a third or whatever, how is this anything different? I think the Senators fans got cheated out of another jersey design. That aside, it's retro, and it looks fine. Not exciting, just fine.
Philadelphia: Did they forget to submit a retro jersey? It looks like their jersey. I get they don't have past logos to play with, but again couldn't they have tried something? This looks exactly like a regular jersey and it's boring. They also didn't try.
Pittsburgh: Yup, that's retro. Boring as all hell but retro. I would have liked to see the penguin head that Mario wore. Team or city name on the jersey is boring and I don't like it. The penguin head was sleek and I think would have gone over a lot better than this one. I think they were trying to look older than they are, they only go back to the sixties, they can't pretend they're as old as the Rangers, sorry. And if they really wanted to all the way, they should have gone baby blue.
San Jose: I like the grey. And they don't have anything really to work with on the logo, so they did what they could. The grey was a good choice and I like the overall look. I think they did the best they could with what they had. This is how you try and succeed when you don't have much to work with.
St Louis: I hate to say nice things about the Blues, but they hit the nail on the head with this jersey. It's retro, but it's remixed but in a nice way that works with what they were going for. It's sharp and well done, and fits the logo. The slash edge is just right, the logo looks good. I hate that they did really well with this thing.
Tampa Bay: Almost right. It looks like the jerseys from the '04 Cup win, the shadow is right, the font is right, I love it, except no sparkles! And that's where they lost me. It's good, looks right, logo is on par, but the real one had sparkly thread in the silver. And this one does not sparkle. Now I get they probably couldn't because it's not sewn, but I still wanted the sparkle because that was so cool. But otherwise they did the right thing with this one.
Toronto: Yeah, okay, I mean technically it's kinda retro, but it's boring. It's fine, clean and clear, and the right blue, but boring. Might have been funny to do a St Pats or something, but I guess that wouldn't sell much. They use a retro one so they went retro with a more modern design because it's what they could do. Just eh.
Vancouver: Where is the burgandy? Okay I get what they were trying, and it's stylish, sure, but it doesn't feel like the West Coast Express era to me because there's no burgandy. But also they could have done the Pavel Bure giant V in yellow and that would have been hot. Or the like sunset logo. Anything really different from the whale. They missed the opportunity there. So I call this a fail, not because it's bad, but because it could have been so much better.
Vegas: They have no history, they have no retro. So they made something up. And it's awful. I hate this team, but I hate this jersey even more. Nope, it's terrible and has nothing to do with anything. You can't invent retro, you need to be graceful about not having anything to work with. This is awful. Fake retro. Hate it.
Washington: Not bad, honestly. I don't like saying nice things about the Capitals. The screaming eagle is retro, the red is sharp, the whole thing comes together really great. It's a really good design and is properly retro and I'm completely for it. Which is unfortunate because I hate the team. But nice jersey.
Winnipeg: Right on the nose. Did I hold out a tiny amount of hope I'd see a Thrashers jersey? Maybe a little, but I'm okay with them retroing back to the first Jets (even if they're not them) because this is a classic look and I'm fine with it. It was exactly what was expected of them and the delivered. The grey is a little dull, but it works, the blue is nice, and the design is right. A little red maybe, but other than that, it's just fine. It's going to be a big seller, and that's good.
Overall... I don't like them... and no one is surprised.

breath of ash, bone of dust
So. A few nights ago, an anon asked if I could be tempted to write a Kastle Hades/Persephone AU. And, well. Here we goddamn are. I don’t know if this will show up in the tags because of the link, since Tumblr is a terrible trash website, but I had to put it on AO3 because it is 25,000 FRIGGING words.
Rated soft M. I regret both everything and nothing.
I.
The wind is blowing from the north today, and that always means that shit is going to get a little weird. Karen Page doesn’t know exactly why that is, other than that it’s drawing down the fae from the rest of New England, and growing up in a tiny, rural town in Vermont, she learned early on not to mess with it. There were always strange lights or sounds at dusk, something lurking just beyond the bend, a strict folk wisdom that if you went into the woods at twilight, you didn’t know where or if you’d come out. Don’t look a stranger in the eye, if he walks toward you on an empty road. Don’t look out your window too long past dark. It wasn’t as much as some of the places in, say, the Appalachians, where you can’t breathe without taking Them in, but it was there, those pieces of small-town lore that your city-slicker friends laugh at when you tell them. When Karen first moved to New York, it took her months to be willing to be out at midnight. Just didn’t seem worth the risk.
New York, for that matter, has a very different sort of magic: loud, grimy, haphazard, unapologetic, not easily visible on the surface but there as soon as you scratch down. It’s not like Boston, which is a city absolutely ridden with ghosts. You can’t take two goddamn steps in Boston without the scent of pipe smoke drifting from some Revolution-era tavern (plenty of people swear they’ve pounded back brewskis with Sam Adams himself, only realizing it when he disappeared at the end of the night), without the distant war-whoops of men dumping tea in the harbor, without a tinge of Victorian witchlight illuminating cobblestone streets in the Back Bay, and pretty much anyone who ever went to Harvard being glimpsed strolling across the Quad. The shadows of whalers and fishermen flit along the coast, calling in thick New England accents to bait the longlines. Someone came in shaken from a stormy night in Eastham, on Cape Cod, and reported that they’d just seen a big three-masted ship break up – well, they did, but it was the famous pirate Black Sam Bellamy, and the wreck of his Whydah in 1717. You don’t even want to know what happens in Salem. Mount Washington in New Hampshire, known for its ferociously high winds, is definitely a door to somewhere (Oz?), but nobody has ever been sure.
If she’s honest, Karen was hoping to leave all that hedge magic behind when she moved to the city. She wanted somewhere where reality could generally be counted on to run as it’s supposed to, where people scoff at superstition and don’t end up hexed for it – a place that felt grown-up, away from all the children’s stories and formless boogeymen of her youth. New York could be relied upon to be brash and abrasive and thoroughly non-magical, she thought – which, at least in the first two departments, it is. But she’s not so sure that she has escaped the latter after all. It pokes up in tendrils, curling shoots. For example, you really should put a buck in the violin case of that red-haired man who occasionally busks in Times Square station, and tends to wear green. You’ll have spectacular good luck if you do, and absolutely terrible luck if you don’t.
(Perhaps, Karen thinks, it would be easier, so much easier, if she could just blame the monsters for what happened to Kevin. And yet she can’t, and it makes her wonder if, no matter how far she runs, she will ever be able to escape the monster she most wants to flee.)
Karen has managed, more or less, to live a refreshingly ordinary life in the city, though far from uneventful. There’s been the situation with Union Allied, her old employer, and plenty of other ones. She now works as an office manager at Nelson & Murdock, a local law firm in Hell’s Kitchen that. . . well, the best word for its business practices is “idiosyncratic.” Its chief, and indeed sole, attorneys, are two lifelong best friends, Franklin “Foggy” Nelson and Matthew Murdock. They were born here, went through Columbia Law together, and have a fierce and genuine commitment to doing true public-interest work, for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of their community. Unfortunately, this does not pay many, or indeed any, bills. They’re not quite run on tin cans and string, but sometimes it feels that way.

Timestamp Safari For Mac
I can very easily see timestamps for texts (SMS) and messages (wifi? Not really sure what this is) on iOS messenger by swiping to the left. However, in the Messenger app on OSX (10.11.6 El Capitan), I cannot for the life of my get these timestamps to appear (swiping, right-clicking a message, app options and context menus, etc.). I noticed some very odd behaviour in macOS High Sierra's (10.13.1) Finder. For filenames that contain timestamps Finder changes the timestamp format, the two screenshots below illustrate the issue.

Do you mean time expressed in hours : minutes : seconds? Unfortunately Safari doesn't show the time. The entire browsing history available in History -> Show All History menu shows only the date.
The history is saved in a database file named History.db located in Safari folder inside your Library. If you're familiar with SQL you can copy that database file somewhere, open it with the app DB Browser for SQLite, choose Browse Data and select under the Table dropdown menu history_visits. You can sort the data selecting the visit_time column.
The problem is that the timestamp in that column is expressed in Core Data timestamp format which is not human readable. You can convert it here: https://www.epochconverter.com/coredata
Timestamp Safari For Mac Shortcut
If you need to check only a specific visit it's doable otherwise you'd need to convert someway the entire column (I guess exporting the table in CSV and managing the conversion with another app).

CANTLON'S CORNER: HOCKEY NEWS AND NOTES VOLUME 8
BY: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings HARTFORD, CT - The suspension of hockey continues though the NHL may resume the regular season or go straight to a playoff format in an attempt to conclude the 2019-20 season. The AHL, meanwhile, is on the verge of announcing the cancelation of the rest of the regular season and Calder Cup playoffs. COLLEGE PLAYER SIGNINGS The New York Rangers' goaltending situation got a bit more interesting with the signing of their sixth-round (174th overall) pick in 2016, Tyler Wall. The former UMass-Lowell senior was signed to a two-year, entry-level deal ($925K-NHL/$70K-AHL). The organization now has six goaltenders under contract starting with Henrik Lundqvist, who is entering the final year of his contract that pays him $8.5 million. Alexander Georgiev will become a Restricted Free Agent (RFA) in 2020-21. He's proven he is more than NHL-ready. Igor Shesterkin enters the second year of his two year deal and would become an RFA in the 2021-22 season. Shesterkin spent half of this season in Hartford where he was superb in net and brought the Wolf Pack to first place for at least three months. The team then struggled mightily after his recall. The team dropped to a .500 record. Add to the list, second-year pro, and former UConn Husky, Adam Huska. He will enter the final year before he hits RFA status. Then there is J.F. Berube. He was acquired in a late-season trade for his fellow goalie, Thomas McCollum, with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He will be a UFA at the end of June. Nobody knows for certain how this entire thing will shake out in the end. The NHL salary cap for next year was originally pegged to land between $84-$88 million, however, with the COVID-19 pandemic and other external factors, that number is now in a complete state of flux with the entire worldwide economic landscape having been dramatically altered. The cap could potentially drop below $80 million. That would force all of the NHL's teams to do some serious refinancing of its payroll structure. On the goalie front, the Rangers would be faced with even tougher choices than they already were going to have. Wall, 22, from Leamington, Ontario, appeared in 32 games with the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks (HE) this season. He posted an 18-8-6 record, along with a 2.10 GAA, a .931 save percentage, and two shutouts. He was named to the Hockey East Third All-Star Team this season, which was the conference’s deepest position. Darien’s Spencer Knight (Boston College) and Hobey Baler finalist Jeremy Swayman (Maine) were the two in front of him. Wall appeared/started in 32 of UMass Lowell's 34 games this season. He earned all of his team's wins during the season and established a collegiate career-best in save percentage, Wall was tied for ninth in NCAA Division I in save percentage. In addition, Wall ranked eighth in the NCAA in saves at (924). His 336 saves in either the third period or overtime were the third-most in the country. This past season, Wall's stinginess saw him allow just two goals or fewer in 22 of his 32 appearances, including one goal or fewer in eight different appearances. He was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week on six different occasions and served as an alternate captain, becoming the first Riverhawk goaltender to wear either a 'C' or an 'A' on his jersey since Dwayne Roloson did so in 1993-94. Wall stands 6'3" and weighs 214lbs. He covers the lower part of the net very well. Wall appeared in 103 career collegiate games over four seasons and amassed a college career record of 58-34-10, a 2.28 GAA, a .918 save percentage and nine shutouts. Wall's 58 career wins with UMass Lowell are the most by a goaltender since the school began playing in Division 1. He broke Roloson's record of 51 wins. He established a collegiate career-best in appearances (37), wins (26), and GAA (2.06) as a freshman in 2016-17, and he established a UMass-Lowell record for wins by a rookie goaltender, previously held by current Winnipeg Jet, Connor Hellebuyck. Wall also helped UMass-Lowell win the Hockey East Championship in 2016-17, and was named to the Hockey East All-Tournament Team. He posted a 2.10 GAA or better in three of his four collegiate seasons. IN OTHER SIGNINGS After four years at Penn State (Big 10), Peyton Jones signs a deal with the Colorado Eagles for 2020-21. Yanni Kaldis Cornell University (ECACHL) signs with Bakersfield (ECHL). Along with Wall, that makes 93 Division I players who have signed North American professional contracts. Including European deals, 150 collegiate players in total have turned professional. Hockey East saw 21 players turn pro in North America and the Big 10 has 20. They are followed by the NCHC with 17. The WCHA has 13, while the ECACHL has 12 and the AHA with nine. Penn State has the most signees with seven. They are followed by Western Michigan (NCHC) with six, Ferris State (WCHA) with five, and Hockey East's Boston University and Vermont with four each. Leading the 39 Division III signees is Northland College (NCHA) who've had four players put their names on contracts. Matt Tugnutt of Sacred Heart University becomes the 13th Division I grad transfer and the second one for Providence College Friars (HE) in goal. Jason Herter, Assistant Coach with the two-time defending NCAA champions, the University of Minnesota-Duluth, has stepped down to take another position in hockey but has not declared if it was in pro or college. Scott Morrow (Darien) just finished at Shattuck’s St. Mary in Minnesota, had his USHL rights traded from the Youngstown Phantoms to the Fargo (ND) Force for next season. In 2021-22, Morrow starts playing for North Dakota (NCHC). He was also drafted by the Val D’ Foreurs in the 2nd round 21st overall in the 2018 QMJHL Draft. NHL SEASON The NHL wants to minimize the loss of revenue to the escrow fund which they and the players share as a part of the CBA agreement. The NHL is trying to salvage the regular season and the Stanley Cup playoffs a massive revenue generator. Presently, they're trying to find COVID-19 light cities to re-start and complete the remaining 14-15 games left in the regular season. There is also talk that they could jump to just a 12-team per conference playoff format. It is unclear which way they are going to go. Also being discussed is the recall of AHL players from each team's affiliates as a taxi squad once the AHL season is officially canceled. However, there are some serious issues regarding contracts that need to be worked out. “It comes down that the NHL is trying to preserve the sponsorships and the TV ad revenue to minimize the losses. It's paramount to the league right now, however, we’re getting close to fish-or-cut-bait time for the NHL and AHL because the clock is ticking to a new fiscal year of business that starts by the end of June,” commented a long-time hockey source. The NHL isn’t alone in trying to complete their seasons. Both Ukraine and Spain have tentative plans to finish their playoffs in September. Ukraine still has the semifinals and finals while Spain has just its championship round. CONGRATULATIONS Former Hartford Whaler and Rangers' defenseman, James Patrick, will be inducted into the University of North Dakota's sports Hall-of-Fame. Patrick was a first-round pick (9th overall) by the Rangers in the 1981 Draft. While with UND, he led the Fighting Sioux, as they were known then, to an NCAA title in his freshmen year and he was an all-tournament selection in the Frozen Four. Patrick was on the WCHA Conference's second-team All-Star. He was the conference Rookie-of-the-Year and won a WJC gold medal with Canada. In his sophomore season, he was a first-team WCHA All-Star, was first-team NCAA All America, and was a Hobey Baker finalist. Patrick played in 1,280 NHL games with the Rangers, Whalers, the Calgary Flames, and Buffalo Sabres. Upon retiring, he spent seven years with Buffalo and then three years with the Dallas Stars as an assistant coach. Patrick is currently entering his fourth year as head coach with the Winnipeg Ice (WHL), a franchise moved from Cranbrook, BC (Kootenay) two years ago. His nephew Nolan is a member of the Philadelphia Flyers. IN OTHER COLLEGE NEWS Three weeks ago, The Vermont Catamounts saw long-time coach, Bob Gaudet, announce his retirement after 23 years. Todd Woodcroft becomes just their fifth coach in Vermont school history. This week the University sadly mourns the passing of their first Division I coach, Jim Cross (1965-1984), who shepherded them in from the Division II level. Cross, 87 passed away due to COVID-19 complications. Cross coached Vermont to three ECAC Division II championships including back-to-back titles in 1973-1974 with a conference record of 37-1. He was named National Division II Coach-of-the-Year in 1974. Cross help the Catamounts transition to Division I hockey in the ECAC in 1974 getting into third place in their first season. His 19-year coaching mark was 280-251-9. A BU grad, Cross was honored by the Terriers in 1975 with its Harry Cleverly award given to alumni who excel in coaching. Cross was inducted into the University of Vermont Athletic Sports Hall-of-Fame in 1996 and just last year, the Hobey Baker Memorial Foundation named him recipient of the “Legend of College Hockey” award. He will posthumously be inducted into the Vermont Sports Hall-of-Fame later this year. Among the players he coached in Division I included, former New Haven Nighthawk, John Glynne (Hamden) and Kirk McCaskill, who had a much better professional baseball career with the California Angels (nee Anaheim Angels) for eleven years as a pitcher, after one season with the Sherbrooke Jets (AHL). Buy Angler Gas Tanks Manufactured by Speedy Tanks
Fuel is nowadays one of the most important fuels for human rental. Feed our vehicles and equipment. It presents light, warmth, and safety. This flexible source of electricity is speculation of revolutionary knowledge and historical chemicals. Most of us residents understand very well that burning “Boston whaler Gas Tanks” generates electricity for electrical equipment, but many understand how this is achieved practically. They know that the oil that is pumped to the ground is extracted, but it is not what it takes to choose it from there in the aluminum fuel tanks. This report describes the treatment that you normally perform toward transferring the soil to the fuel tank. Therefore, continue to discover the details of this interesting revolutionary production procedure.
Fuel is made against fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are large carbon deposits that form over hundreds of thousands of years. These types of carbon deposits are produced in the type of a thick black substance known as crude oil. This oil is designed with chemical chains that are considered as hydrocarbons. The individual hydrocarbon chains develop from unique hydrogen and carbon relationships and therefore their status is. All of these chains imply the best volume of energy that is retained in the style of the connections between these two molecules. This electricity is introduced after the distribution of the molecules. Here's how this oil can be used as a fuel.
The first step is to drain the oil on the ground by pumping it. When extracted from the ground, the oil is transported to a refinery in the remaining technique. The refining method integrates the separation of hydrocarbon chains by size. These alternating-format strings contain alternative cooking information, which exposes them to the specific temperatures of the person under pressure. They explain different based on the measurement. This procedure is known as fractional distillation. Crude oil is cooked until the chain starts to separate. Optional chain sizes become optional fuel styles. Propane “aluminum gas tanks” separates out initial, followed by the fuel. Diesel fuel is the gas that remains in the sense that it is created by this treatment. When the gas chains are removed, they continue to be processed.
The next action in refining technology alone is considered to be catalytic cracking. In this process, various compounds are added in the direction of the oil. Catalysts of this kind are aspects such as aluminum, platinum, treated clay, and acids. All this is excessive and the combination is subject to temperatures and pressures towards the distribution of the molecules, therefore gasoline will be produced. When the gas is properly damaged, many other connections contribute to the big difference in how the gas is burned in an engine. All these compounds vary from the color, aroma, and safety of gas in the sense that it is converted into a surplus of intriguing goods.
Once created, the gas is transported to the end-user at the corner station. Here it is applied in the direction of filling automatic aluminum fuel tanks, capacity generators and other applications such as lawnmowers and herbicides. Right now, when you understand how this incredible electrical resource is created, you can only make a better profit with everything that involves its creation. A series of illustrations of the equipment that works is the purchase of new sets of new Kohler engines and generator tanks.
